While the Sony Xperia Z1 is
yet to stomp around in the Indian market, rumours of the Xperia Z2 have
already started floating on the internet. According to Techkiddy, work
on the Xperia Z2, which is to succeed the Z1 has already started and the
company plans to announce the smartphone at the Computer Electronics
Show 2014.
Codenamed Avatar, the Xperia
Z2 is not expected to have many design changes from Sony’s current
flagship. It would most certainly be running the Android 4.4 KitKat
operating system and would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon
MSM8974AB (quad core Snapdragon 800) processor chipset. Further, like
the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Xperia Z2 may also have 3 GB of RAM
support.
In terms of display, the phone is expected to have a
13.2-cm (5.2-inch) IGZO display, which supports full HD resolution at
500 pixels per inch. Further, since the Xperia Z1 already boasts one of
the best cameras in the market, the Xperia Z2 should have nothing less
than a 20 mega pixel camera. In addition, the update Xperia is also
expected to have 4k recording facility.
Sony has made quite the
mark in the smartphone industry with its Xperia series. The Xperia Z has
done quite well in the Indian market and the Xperia Z1 is also expected
to be well accepted. The company may as well go all out with the Sony
Xperia Z2 early next year.
