Google's Android open source platform is already the most used operating system in smartphones and tablets, across the world. It further raised its share with the successful launch of the latest Android KitKat. The platform has stalled many other OSes, but this time its the in-house Jelly Bean that took the hit. As per Google's numbers on the latest Android version distribution, the total share of Android 4.4 devices has ascended to 5.3 per cent, within a month. While, Jelly Bean's share has fallen for the first time in about two years landing it at number two, followed by Gingerbread. |
According to Google, the latest monthly Android version distribution numbers say that the Android 4.4 KitKat has more than doubled its market shares in just a month, to 5.3 per cent.
