Google Unveils New Customisable Maps Feature

Google has unveiled the Google Maps Engine Pro, which is available at $5 per month. The new service allows enterprises or businesses to move a variety of files onto Google Maps. Doing this, gives businesses the chance to develop geographic maps, which are interactive with the user. They can input information such as office locations, sales leads and inventory data, which can be very useful. Further, companies can move a variety of files, including TSV, My Maps, CSV, XLSX and spreadsheets onto Google Maps.

That’s not it though, the Google Maps Engine Pro allows users to customise the maps, or rather, the way that the maps will is seen. This includes customisations even to the colour of the market pins that are shown on the map, border thickness of various areas, gradation etc.

In addition, maps can also be layered, which means that users can partition the data within one location. So, you can move to a different layer for a particular type of information. To complete the usability, the maps created by various businesses are private to them by default. But, Google is also allowing them to share the maps with colleagues and business partners etc.
