HTC Smartphones To Get 25 GB Free Google Drive Storage

Storage for two years following the HTC Sense 5.5 update. The Taiwanese smartphone maker had partnered with the internet search giant to provide this service for the HTC One Max. But, the option doesn’t seem to be limited to its newest flagship device alone. The Google Drive offers page listed the information saying that the HTC One and other 2013 smartphones will get the additional storage after the Sense 5.5 update.

The page also mentioned that the HTC One Developer Edition will not be getting the service because of its unlocked bootloader. The additional storage space will reportedly be on top of the 15 GB, which is already available to all Google users. Further, the complete list of HTC smartphones, which will be receiving the update is not known yet, but 2013 models should all get it.

In fact, the HTC One smartphone has reportedly started getting its Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update in some European countries and in US and Canada. The HTC Sense 5.5 update was supposed to arrive later. The collaboration with Google is perhaps the reason for the delay in the Sense update, which is usually a part of the Android update only.
